I have attended and assisted several births but obtained formal training through DONA International (certification pending) that provided me with in depth knowledge and skills. I use these skills to help parents have the birth they desire. I consider it an honor to provide emotional and physical support for laboring women. Helping her identify and communicate effectively with her caregiver is one of the many benefits of adding me to your birth team. 

I believe that not only is knowledge powerful, but it helps dispel the many fears and anxiety that our society have associated with birth.
