I am married and have two wonderful children. I welcomed the arrival of my first grandchild, a little boy, in August of 2009. My son and daughter-in-law chose to have a water birth at home with a midwife. I am very passionate about birth and the birthing process. I feel that every mother and her partner deserve the best possible outcome from their birth.

I have attended birth doula training through Childbirth Education Specialists, and I am certified as a doula through DONA. I am also trained to support hypnobirthing mothers.

I believe that women deserve to give birth with dignity and that the sanctity of their birth experience be preserved.  My role as a doula is to inform you about the choices you have, help you foster self-determination and confidence in yourself, support and help you reach the goals you have set for your birth, and assist you in capturing the empowerment of the birthing process.
