Thanks for your interest in my childbirth classes in Sacramento! I'm a certified childbirth educator in Sacramento and an almost life-long resident. I have my childbirth educator certification through ICEA and I've taught childbirth classes for the last five years. Because I work for two local hospitals, I have educated tens of thousands of couples, many of whom wanted to go unmedicated (natural) and many who wanted an epidural. I teach classes on pregnancy, birth, babies, breastfeeding, safety and multiples to both adults and young adults.

Before I became a childbirth educator I was a labor and postpartum doula and helped over 50 couples. I love teaching what I learned during those two years both to expectant couples and other birthing professionals. Because I have a doula background, I have a unique perspective from many other childbirth educators. I know how to help women get through labor and birth! I strongly believe in teaching partners how to support a laboring woman because the birth goes better and she's less annoyed with her partner after the birth for not "helping". :) I also believe women should have a "good" birth experience, whether that means going unmedicated or getting an epidural. I don't care how she gives birth, as long as she feels it was a good experience.

In addition to teaching, I'm also a writer and have a book coming out in 2012 for men about supporting a laboring a woman (more on that later). I'm also the owner of Sacramento's BabyStop and TheOnlyBabyStop. Finally, I have twin boys moving through elementary school. And I have a wonderful husband who supports me through all of my ideas.
